Bessermachen put together two of my favorite things in the world (pin-up art and chocolate), when they created these lovely
tin boxes for Chocolates with Attitude. To create their pin-up girl illustrations, they kept as faithful as possible to the way it was done in the 50´s, by first photographing a model and then painting over the picture to recreate the desired effect.
They decided to give each type of chocolate an ¨archetype¨, represented by the image of a specific girl and general design.
I think the idea and the execution is amazing!

So this weekend I went to the supermarket with the boyfriend and we found this rum. Since I´m a fan of rum (always in moderation) and the bottle and overall design are amazing, we had to buy it. The product did not disappoint. In fact, it is pretty excellent. I´m always happy when I find new products that have great design backed up by great quality. I visited the site on the bottle (www.krakenrum.com) and was blown away by the awesomeness of the product´s branding.
Undoubtedly, The Kraken´s success has been in large part due to the product´s amazing aesthetic and the dedication that the company has given to the creation of amazing items (and website) used to advertise it. With it´s original name, bold design and unique bottle, The Kraken succeeds in being a memorable brand. This sets it apart from its competition given most of the brands in this niche merely focus on either the results of drinking their product or their history.
See for yourself, visit the site, and buy some Kraken!
It´s been a while since I last uploaded a collection of excellent packaging examples I´ve found. Since I´ve been working on a personal tea packaging project in my free time, I have been looking for inspiration and have come across wonderful work. Enjoy.
