These are so strange! I love them!
For this artist, shoes have magical powers that protect their owners as they transport them from place to place. Murphy's fascination with shoes dates back to her childhood, when she believed they would stare back at her. Each one of her intriguing sculptures displays its own character and personality. Amazing!
This amazing work is created by a married couple that collects pieces of plastic which have been washed up on the shores of northern California beaches. Afterwards, they take them back to their studio to clean, sort and categorize them according to color and kind. They make artwork including large sculptures, installations, photo tableaus and jewelry.
Hard to believe, but these are actually oil paintings. Amazing aren't they? They sure make me hungry.

Johnston Foster is an artist from Virginia that creates sculptures and installations. He collects objects that he can recycle and reinvent. With his sculptural imagery inspired by urban myths and pop culture consumerism, he is able to balance humor and darkness in a very interesting way.
